Term & Conditions
- Members introducing guests to the club shall be responsible for their conduct. Guests must remain in the company of the host member at all times. Host members may not leave the function until all their guests have left the club's premises.
- Guests of a member attending a function are prohibited from going onto marinas and areas that are reserved for members.
- All costs of the function will be charged to the members account and the member will be held responsible for payment of the particular account. The bar may, however be operated on cash basis. All account are payable on presentation as per club rules.
- The price quoted for the function is exclusive of VAT at 14% and service fee at 10%.
- All prices are subject to change without notice.
- A list of names and surnames of the member's guests, alphabetical according to surname, must be submitted 48 hours before the function.
- The functions schedule specifying all details of the arrangements must be checked and confirmed by the client at least 48 hours prior to the function. Any alterations to the arrangements for this function, particularly as to numbers attending, must be notified 48 hours prior to the club. Final numbers must be confirmed 48 hours in advance of no more or less than 5% catering and charges will be based on this information.
- Music may continue until no later than 01h00, unless alternative arrangements have been made and whereby a surcharge will apply.
- Bars for private functions may be left open until no later than 01h00. The club reserves the right to charge a service fee of R150.00 in the unlikely event of the bar turnover being less than R500.00. The club's bye-laws do not allow bringing one's own liquor onto the premises. Only in exceptional circumstances will this be allowed by the way of special application to the Food and Beverage Manager. A corkage fee will be levied
- A compulsory surcharge to the clients account will apply to enable the club to book a security guard for this function.
- The club cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond its control. I.e. power failures, strikes or acts of God.
- The club does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any property of members, their guests or agents brought onto the premises. The club shall not be held responsible for the death of bodily harm to any persons visiting the club. The client shall be held responsible for all damages to allocated rooms and equipment, either by themselves, their guests or agents.
- Should any outside contractor be hired in connection with lighting, sound or any other specialized equipment, they are to announce their arrival to a duty manager and the installation of the equipment is to be monitored. The club will not be liable for any damage or loss of equipment.
- All private functions on public holidays and Sundays are subject to a 15% surcharge due to labor cost.
- All function venues in the club are non smoking zones.
- The club reserves the right to change allocated rooms without notice, depending on the demand of business.
- Parking is subject to availability.
- The duty manager is explicitly authorized to stop any event or function for any reason including dangerous behavior of guests or members, fighting, foul language or any behavior unbecoming of a member or any of his or her guests.
- All equipment that is set up for a function must be removed by 12h00 the following morning unless a prior arrangement has been made with the functions co-ordinator. Security can be provided at an additional cost - please ask your co - ordinator for more details on this.
- RCYC will take no responsibility for any items left overnight.
