I'm a senior citizen, fit and a regular gym user. My sailing experience spans some 40 years and encompasses in excess of 100,000nm. I have completed six transatlantics, circumnavigated my own boat(Prout 37 Snowgoose catamaran) with 1995 Trade Winds Rally, crewed with 1998 Blue Water Rally and the 2007 Blue Water Rally. Many deliveries and other voyages, including eight UK to Turkey six of which involved crossing Bay of Biscay in the winter. I am happy to manage all aspects of boat/passage i.e.navigation and strategy, provisioning and skippering boat in absence of owner. For example the French owner of the 53ft Amel Supermaramu 2000 I crewed on in the recent 2007 Blue Water Rally returned home frequently and was happy to leave the boat in my charge. I took Canopus out of the water in MacKay and Singapore and supervised the work carried out. The owner went home from Singapore for six weeks and I sailed her via the Malacca Straits, Peninsular Malaysia and Langkowi to Thailand where he rejoined us. I have the usual boat owner technical skills, have never been seasick and can cook. I play the piano.
